YOGURT OATS CHAPATI

Chapati is Indian-flat bread that can be served with most of Indian dishes and can be prepared in different varieties.It is generally prepared using wheat flour.I have tried simple variation using instant oats,yogurt, bread flour with some spices and it just tastes awesome.Do try this out.

Preparation time : 20 minutes
Serves : 8 chapatis

Ingredients
Instant Oats - 2/3 cup
Bread Flour -1 cup
Yogurt/curd - 3 tbsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Sugar - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds/Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Red Chili powder - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves chopped - 3 strands
Green chili chopped - 2
Vegetable Oil - 2 tsp
Hot milk - 1/3 cup
Butter/ghee/oil to cook chapatis

Preparation 
  • Grind the instant oats to form coarse powder.
  • In bowl mix all the ingredients mentioned and knead to  form smooth, soft dough. Knead it for at least 5 minutes so that chapati becomes soft.
  • Divide dough into equal portions. Dust the working surface.Using rolling pin make thin chapatis.
  • Heat tava .transfer the chapatis to tava and cook them on both the sides adding butter.
  • Yogurt Oats Chapatis are now ready. Serve hot and enjoy.
