JALAPENO CHUTNEY/DIP

In South India dosas are always served with spicy coconut chutney or red chutney.Its perfect accompaniment with dosa. Its very easy to make and tastes good with almost every dosa/idlis.I have already shared recipe on green and red chutney. this is just variation to it.
Jalapeno Dip
Preparation time : 5 mins
Serves :  3

Ingredients
Coconut Grated - 1/2 cup
Coriander leaves chopped - 1/3 cup
Big Jalapeno - 1
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Water - 1/4 to 1/3 cup
Salt to taste

For Tempering(optional)
Oil - 1 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 4
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Hing - Pinch

Preparation
  • Grind all the ingredients given above adding water to form thick smooth paste.
  • Jalapeno Chutney/Dip is ready. Consume when fresh. You can keep it in refrigerator and serve for day or two. Serve with dosas/idlis. You can also temper this if required.
