- Wash and soak urad dal in water for 3 hours.Now drain them and grind with little water to form smooth paste.
- Wash rava and now add the ground urad dal paste to it and mix well.This will be coarse and thick. allow it to ferment overnight.
- Next morning add salt and mix well.
- Add enough water in pressure cooker and switch on the flame.. I use pressure cooker without whistle.
- Grease the idli moulds with oil.Pour idli batter to each mould.
- Steam it for 12-15 minutes in medium flame.Once its done using spoon remove idli from the plates.
- Idli is now ready. Serve hot and enjoy.
