Breadsticks are pencil sized sticks of bread , very soft, chewy delicious. This is easiest among the bread recipes I have prepared. the smell, taste, texture everything is just awesome. Never miss to try this simple and awesome recipe.
Preparation time : 2 hours
Serves : 14 breadsticks
Ingredients
All purpose flour - 3 cups
Salt - 1 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 2 tsp + 1 tsp
Active Dry yeast - 1 packet (1/4 oz)
Warm water - 1 cup
Melted butter - 2 tbsp
For topping
Garlic Salt - 2 tsp
Melted Butter - 3 tbsp

Preparation
- Add 1 cup of warm water and dissolve 1 tsp of sugar in it. sprinkle the yeast and leave it undisturbed for 10 minutes till you see the bubbles.
- Mix all purpose flour, salt, sugar, butter and knead for 5 minutes to form smooth dough.
- Roll the dough , cut into 14 pieces and again roll into 8 to 10 inch long breadsticks.
- Cover it with warm towel and let it rest in warm place for about 1 hour or till it is doubled.
- Preheat oven for 400 degree F. Brush the sticks with melted butter and sprinkle garlic salt on top of it. Bake for about 15 minutes till its golden brown.
- Breadsticks are now ready. Serve it hot and enjoy
