SPICY SINGAPORE NOODLES

Singapore Noodles is delicious rice vermicelli/noodles seasoned with curry powder, soya sauce, and chilis. This dish is very popular in Chinese cuisine. This noodles is very easy to prepare and the taste  and texture of noodles is simply awesome. Do try this out and share your comments and variation.

Preparation time : 30 minutes
Serves : 3 to 4

Ingredients
Rice Noodles/vermicelli - 200 g
Onion chopped - 1
Green chili chopped - 3
Garlic cloves chopped - 5
Capsicum chopped - 1/2
Ginger grated - 1 inch
Lemon juice - 1 tsp
Frozen Green peas - 1/4 cup
Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Soya sauce - 1 1/2 tsp
Sriracha hot chili sauce - 2 tsp
Kitchen King Masala - 1/2 tsp(optional)
Salt to taste
Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp

Preparation
  • Cook the noodles according to package instructions. drain them and keep it aside
  • Heat oil in pan. add onion, ginger, garlic, green chili and saute till onion becomes translucent.
  • Add green peas and capsicum and saute for another 1 minute.
  • Add all spices - chili powder, garam masala, kitchen king masala, pepper powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice and saute for 30 seconds.
  • Now add soya sauce, chili sauce, adjust the salt , mix well and saute everything for a minute
  • Now add cooked rice noodles and toss till everything is combined
  • Spicy Singapore noodles is now ready. Serve hot and enjoy

Tip:
  • I have substituted curry powder with Red chili powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, garam masala powder.
  • Vary amount of spices as per your taste.
