KADHI KACHORI

Kadhi Kachori is very popular North-Indian dish prepared using besan/chickpea flour , yogurt and spices. This is no onion, no garlic recipe. I watch lot of food  and travel shows and I found the combination of kadhi and kachori very interesting. So I thought of trying this out. I have prepared a simple dal kachori and kadhi. I must tell you it was super hit.Do give it a try. Here is my simple recipe for kadhi .
Chaat Recipes
Preparation time : 40 minutes
Serves : 3

Ingredients
Yogurt -  4 tbsp
Chickpea Flour/Besan - 4 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Asafoetida/Hing - 1 /4 tsp
Green chilli - 2
Ginger grated - 1 1/2 ttbsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
Methi/fenugreek seeds - 4 to 5 seeds
Salt to taste
Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp
Water -  3 cups.
For garnish - Grated ginger, green chilli, red chilli powder and coriander leaves

Preparation
  • In bowl add the yogurt ,chickpea flour, water and mix well so that there are no lumps in it.
  • Heat oil in pan. add mustard seeds, hing, turmeric powder. when they splutter add the green chilli and ginger and saute for minute.
  • Add the yogurt, besan mixture to it along with red chilli powder and garam amsala powder mix well and bring it to nice boil.
  • Now cover it with the lid and cook it in low flame for 30 minutes till it becomes medium thick and all the flavors are well combined.
  • Kadhi Kachori is now ready. Serve it hot and enjoy.
