ASPARAGUS RICE

Asparagus Rice is one of those rice recipes which is very easy to prepare, delicious and must try recipe. I have prepared using whole garam masala, spices and jasmine rice. You can even use basmati rice or plain white rice. Try this out with Spicy garlic Asparagus
Preparation time : 25 minutes
Serves : 4 to 5

Ingredients
Jasmine Rice : 1 1/2 cup
Water - 2 1/2 cup
Olive Oil - 1 tbsp
Cloves - 3
Cardamom - 5
Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
Cumin seeds/jeera - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Onion Chopped - 1
Green chilli chopped - 3
Garlic cloves chopped - 5
Ginger grated - 1 inch
Asparagus chopped - 1/2 pound
Salt to taste

Preparation
  • Peel off two inches from stem of asparagus and then cut them into 1/2 inch cylinders.
  • Heat oil in pan. Add cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and saute for few seconds. Add cumin seeds and saute for another few seconds.
  • Add onion and saute till it becomes light brown in color. Now add green chilli, garlic, ginger grated and saute for few seconds.
  • Add asparagus and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder and mix well.
  • Add rice and water, salt to taste and mix well and cover it with the lid. Once you see the steam escaping cook it for 12-15 minutes in medium flame.Mix well
  • Asparagus Rice is now ready. Serve hot and enjoy.
