PAD KEE MAO/DRUNKEN NOODLES

Pad Kee Mao is very popular noodles recipe in Thai cuisine. Pad means "stir fry" and kee mao means "Drunkard". There is no alcohol in this recipe.This is very spicy dish and drunk people would always love to  eat spicy food and hence the name. I am really not sure how far its true.:)
This is one of my favorite dish from Thai cuisine. I love thai food because its spicy!!I have used the fresh homemade noodles for this recipe.Do try this out and share your comments.
Preparation time : 20 minutes
Serves : 2

Ingredients
Garlic cloves - 10
Small Green chili - 7 to 8
Cabbage - 1 cup
Capsicum - 1/2
Carrot - 1
Extra Firm tofu -  1/2 cup
Broccoli - 1 small bunch
Mushroom chopped - 4 oz
Red chilis - 2
Maggie Cube/bouillon - 1
Sugar - 2 tsp
Soya sauce -  2 1/2 tsp
Tomato ketchup - 2 tbsp
Sriracha hot chili sauce - 1 1/2 tsp(optional)
Salt to taste
Vegetable Oil - 2 tbsp

Preparation
  • Crush the garlic and green chili so that spiciness get distributed evenly.
  • Heat oil in pan. Add crushed garlic, green chili , red chilis and saute for minute.
  • Add bouillon,carrot, capsicum, cabbage, broccoli, mushroom and saute for a minute.
  • Now add the tofu, salt to taste, sugar, soya sauce, ketchup, chili sauce, mix well and saute for minute.
  • Finally add the rice noodles and toss till everything is combined.
  • Pad kee Mao is now ready. serve hot and enjoy.
Tip:
  • add vegetables of your choice.
  • This dish tastes awesome when its spicy. But you can always vary the amount of green chilis you add as per your taste
