CRACKED WHEAT TABBOULEH

Cracked Wheat Tabbouleh is very healthy recipe  prepared using cracked wheat, onion, tomatoes, lemon juice. This can be served with Potato harissa. This combination is a perfect meal. Do try it out.

Preparation time : 20 minutes
Serves: 3 to 4

Ingredients
Cracked wheat - 2 cup
Water - 4 cup
Lemon juice - 1 1/2 tsp
Green chilies chopped - 3
Turmeric - pinch
Salt to taste
Black peppercorns crushed - 5
Coriander leaves chopped - 5 springs
Tomato chopped - 1
Carrot grated - 1
Onion chopped - 1

Preparation
  • Add cracked wheat, water, salt to taste, crushed pepper, turmeric in pan with lid and bring it to boil. Once it starts boiling switch off the flame, cover it with lid and keep it aside undisturbed for 12 to 15 minutes.
  • In another bowl add onion, tomato, carrot, green chili, lemon juice and mix well. After 15 minutes add this to the cooked wheat and mix well.
  • Cracked wheat tabbouleh is now ready. Serve it with Potato harissa and enjoy.
