Basil Fried Rice is famous Thai rice recipe prepared using different variety of chilis, vegetables and basil leaves. Adding basil gives you a total different flavor. I just love the aroma of this rice. I have prepared a spicy version of this rice. you can always vary the amount of spiciness as you desire.

Ingredients
Jasmine Rice - 2 cup
Garlic cloves chopped- 8
Capsicum chopped - 1/2
Green Beans Chopped - 7
Carrot chopped - 1
Cabbage chopped - 1/2 cup
Mushroom - 4 oz
Onion chopped - 1
Green peas frozen - 1/4 cup
Sweet corn frozen - 1/4 cup
Peppercorns crushed - 8 to 10
Habanero chopped - 2 (optional)
Jalapeno Chopped - 1/2
Thai Bird chili/Green Chilli - 4 to 5
Dry Red chili - 2
Maggie cube/Bouillon - 1
Broken Cashews - 1 tbsp
Worcestershire sauce - 2 tsp
Soya sauce - 1 1/2 tsp
Tomato ketchup - 1 1/2 tbsp
Lemon juice - 1 tsp
Fresh Basil leaves - 10 to 12
Coriander leaves - 5 strands
Salt to taste
Vegetable oil - 2 to 3 tbsp

Maggie cube/Bouillon - 1

Worcestershire sauce - 2 tsp

Tomato ketchup - 1 1/2 tbsp
Lemon juice - 1 tsp
Fresh Basil leaves - 10 to 12
Coriander leaves - 5 strands

Vegetable oil - 2 to 3 tbsp
Preparation
- Boil rice according to instructions given in package. add salt while boiling drain them and keep it aside. let it cool down.
- Heat oil in pan. add red chili and onion and saute till it becomes translucent.
- Add garlic cloves, broken cashews and saute for 1 minute.
- Now add habanero, jalapeno, thai bird chili , crushed pepper , Maggie cube and saute for another 1 minute.
- Add veggies one by one- mushrooms, capsicum, carrot, beans , cabbage, green peas, sweet corn and saute for about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Now add salt to taste, worcestershire sauce, soya sauce, tomato ketchup, lemon juice, and mix well.
- Add basil leaves, coriander leaves and mix well once again. Finally add the cooked rice and toss till everything is well combined.
- Basil fried Rice is now ready. serve hot and enjoy.
Tip:
- You can use basmati rice/any Rice of your choice.
- I have prepared spicier version.Adjust the spices as per your taste.
