SHEERA

Sheera is traditional Indian sweet recipe prepared using sooji/semolina. This sweet is made for auspicious occasions or any poojas This sweet is very easy to make and tastes delicious.This is famous in konkani cuisine. Try this out and do share your comments.

Preparation time : 10 minutes
Serves :3 to 4

Ingredients
Sooji/Semolina - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Boiling water - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 2 to 3 tbsp
Almond chopped - 8
Broken Cashews   - 1 tbsp
Raisins - 1 tbsp

Preparation
  • Place 1/2 cup of water to boil.
  • Heat ghee in pan, add almonds and cashews. saute till it becomes light in color. now add raisins and saute for very few seconds.
  • Add the sooji and mix well. immediately add the boiling water and keep stirring.
  • When this turns semi solid add sugar , mix well and cook for two to three minutes in low flame.
  • Sheera is now ready. decorate it with dry fruits, serve and enjoy.
