GARLIC PEPPER RICE

Garlic Pepper Rice is delicious rice recipe prepared using jasmine rice, garlic, pepper. The taste and flavor of garlic and pepper is highlight of this dish. This is one of our favorite rice recipe which is very easy to prepare. You can use even use basmati rice/left over rice for this recipe. Do try this out and I am sure it will be your frequent recipe in kitchen. I have also used this rice in my vegetable sizzler recipe

Preparation time : 20 minutes
Serves : 2 to 3

Ingredients
Jasmine Rice - 1 cup
Water - 1 1/2 cup
Onion chopped - 1
Garlic cloves chopped - 7
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Broken cashews - 1 tbsp
Butter - 2 tbsp
Salt/ garlic salt to taste
Coriander leaves - to garnish

Preparation
  • Heat Butter in pan. add cumin seeds and cashews when they start becoming golden in color add garlic and saute for few seconds. Now add onions and saute it for minute to two.
  • Add pepper powder, garlic salt and mix well. Add rice, water, adjust salt and bring it to nice boil.
  • Once it starts boiling cover the pan with the lid and cook the rice in medium flame for exact 10 minutes leaving it undisturbed.
  • Switch off the flame and keep it aside for another 5 to 10 minutes. Fork the rice and garnish it with coriander leaves.
  • Garlic pepper Rice is now ready. Serve hot and enjoy
