NOODLES IN BASIL SAUCE WITH PAN FRIED TOFU

Noodles in Basil sauce with Pan Fried Tofu is very delicious, flavorful, rich Thai recipe prepared using fresh basil, cashews, and spices. Serves :  4

Ingredients
Noodles - 180g
Vegetable/Olive oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste

Pan fried Tofu
Tofu cut into rectangles - 7 oz
Black Pepper Powder - 1 to 2 tsp
Red chili Powder - 1 to 2 tsp
Garlic Salt - 1 tsp
Vegetable Oil - 2 tbsp

For Basil Sauce
Basil leaves - 15
Roasted Broken Cashews - 1/4 cup
Garlic cloves - 5
Olive oil - 2 tbsp
Lime juice - 1 tsp
Dry Red Chili - 2

Preparation
  • Boil noodles according to instructions given in package adding salt and drain them. keep it aside.
Pan Fried Tofu
  • Heat oil in pan. Place the tofu on the pan. sprinkle pepper powder, chili powder and garlic powder on each tofu and fry it till it becomes golden in color.
  • Now flip tofu  on other side and again sprinkle pepper powder, chili powder, garlic salt and fry till golden in color. Transfer this to plate.
Basil Sauce
  • Grind together all the ingredients mentioned in 'For Basil sauce' adding very little water to form green sauce.
Noodles in Sauce with Pan fried tofu
  • Heat oil in pan. Add one fourth to half of cooked noodles, add half of basil sauce and mix well. add other half of noodles, basil sauce and mix well till all the ingredients are well combined.
  • Transfer noodles onto plate and surround it with fried tofu or simple mix fried tofu with noodles.
  • Noodles in Basil sauce with pan fried Tofu is now ready. serve hot and enjoy.
